Traveling through the Rabbit Hills on the way to sunstone country, we spotted 3 enormous birds on the ground. My Sibley’s bird guide told me that they were Golden Eagles, two adults and a juvenile. A family of birds with a wing span up to 7-1/2 feet. They were not concerned about our lone car passing through their remote high desert landscape and we saw the juvenile once again on our return trip. This time he took to the air, showing off his spectacular wings.
