I painted this group of chickens inspired by the rooster Voldemort, at Bold Point Farm, Quadra Island, BC. He is one ferocious chicken with attitude as well as beauty. He reminded me of a similar rooster on my grandparent’s homestead in the early 1950’s. As a small child I spent hours watching the chickens on their family farm in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Good memories.
